Enhancing your experience

Accessibility

Tours and facility parking

Accessible parking is available approximately 70 meters away from the entrance. There are pathways and ramps leading to the Sugar Shed entrance. For larger vehicles, including those with caravans and trailers, there is pull-through parking located about 100 meters away from the Sugar Shed entrance.

Mobility accessibility

Wheelchairs and walkers can easily navigate through the café and tour area, as all areas have large opening doors. The tour involves approximately 1 hour of walking and standing, but limited seating can be arranged for a small number of people during the mill area and tasting sessions. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom that is also shared with the baby change room.

Sight impairment

Upon arrival, please inform the tour guide if you require a tour variation that includes additional descriptors for the visually impaired.

Hearing impairment

Our tour guides utilise microphones to ensure that they can be heard. We encourage guests with hearing impairments to let us know in advance so that we can ensure your placement on the tour provides the best possible experience. However, please note that we are currently unable to accommodate severe hearing impairments.

Registered assistance dogs

We welcome registered assistance dogs on our tours.

Café

We cater to various dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, and offer milk alternatives for coffee. High chairs are available in the café, and there are baby change facilities on-site.

Children and families

We provide high chairs in the café and have baby change facilities available. We also offer kids tours during the Queensland school holidays. Our Sugar Shed tours are suitable for both kids and adults.
