The parklands are home to the Mackay Regional Visitor Information Centre and offer ample parking, including spaces for caravans and buses, as well as dump ezy points. Visitors can take advantage of shaded picnic areas, free gas barbeques, toilets, undercover playgrounds and expansive shaded parkland, making it an ideal stop for families, travellers and groups alike. See the map below for directions.
Our story started as a small shed operation of two staff. Since then, our Sugar Shed family has grown to include the most extraordinary and dedicated team of staff and volunteers that are the key to our success.
As positions become available with our team, they are listed on Mackay Regional Council's recruitment site. Please keep an eye on the site and follow council's social media pages for advertised positions.
